Moving in the Spirit is an award-winning creative youth development program. We use the discipline of dance to help children and teens develop the skills they need to thrive.
On August 29th, 2026, we’re inviting the community to come visit us during our annual Open House! This event typically serves to welcome back current students, to recruit and inform new students, and introduce organizations and families to engage with us via partnership or registration. Gathering around 100+ people is such an exciting feat, but we need your help to do it!
We are seeking volunteers to fulfill the following roles:
Greeters: Welcome and direct guests, providing basic information such as restroom location. May also assist with crowd control and activities in the lobby.
Station Assistance: Whether it be blowing up balloons, organizing and crowd management, handing out give aways, or assisting our team with simple task, we ask volunteers to help us maintain a flow between each activity taking place for our patrons and guests!
Set Up and Break Down: Assist our Program Team with gathering, organizing and moving needed supplies (tables, chairs, popsicles, swag give aways, etc.) prior to guest arriving at Moving in the Spirit.
All volunteers are required to wear all/mostly black comfortable attire and complete a free background check via our partner, Sterling Volunteers. Background checks are due August 20th, 2026.
